Pruning, thinning & canopy work

Pruning and thinning shape next year's crop. Our crews follow your cuts — whether that's a trained vine system or an open-center almond — and leads check the work tree by tree.

What our crews do

  • Dormant pruning of almonds, pistachios and citrus
  • Vine pruning, tying and training
  • Fruit and cluster thinning
  • Leafing, suckering and shoot positioning
  • Brush pulling and shredding prep

Crops we work

  • Almonds
  • Pistachios
  • Table and wine grapes
  • Citrus
  • Stone fruit

How we run it

We brief every crew on your pruning style before the first cut, provide ladders and tools that are inspected, and train workers on ladder safety. Winter pruning runs in cold and fog, so leads carry first-aid kits and plan warm-up breaks.
